A walk-only warmup for stiffer horses (or when you're short on time). Ground rails, leg yields to unlock the ribcage, counter bend, and introducing shoulder-in — the spine gets loose before you ever pick up the trot.
Ride along a warmup using neutral spine walk and trot work, shoulder-in, leg yield, and transitions to loosen a horse that braces and leans on the inside shoulder.
