Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancel in one click, any time. New subscribers get 14 days to change their mind and get their money back.
Effective August 6, 2026
This policy covers the Ride Along subscription sold at samanthabaer.com by Samantha Baer, trading as The Elevated Equestrian. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Cancelling
You can cancel whenever you like, from your account settings — no email, no phone call, no retention conversation. There is no contract and no minimum term.
Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not end your access immediately: you keep the library until the end of the period you already paid for, and then the subscription lapses. A monthly subscriber who cancels on day 3 still has the rest of that month. An annual subscriber who cancels in month 2 still has the remaining ten.
If you cannot reach your account settings for any reason, email hello@samanthabaer.com and we will cancel it for you. A cancellation request sent by email counts from the day you sent it.
Refunds — the 14-day window
If you are a first-time subscriber and Ride Along is not for you, email us within 14 days of your first charge and we will refund it in full. You do not have to explain why, and it applies to both plans — $39/month and $290/year.
Send the request from the email address on the subscription, with the word “refund” somewhere in it, to hello@samanthabaer.com. We process refunds within 5 business days of receiving the request; your bank then usually takes another 5 to 10 days to show it. Refunds go back to the original payment method — Stripe does not let us send them anywhere else.
Your access ends when the refund is issued.
What is not refundable
- Renewals. The 14-day window applies to a subscriber’s first charge only. Every renewal after that is non-refundable — cancel any time before the renewal date to avoid it.
- Partial periods. We do not pro-rate an unused part of a period after the 14-day window. You keep the access you paid for until it runs out.
- Repeat subscriptions. If you have subscribed and been refunded before, later subscriptions are not eligible.
- Accounts terminated for breach of the content licence — for example, redistributing lesson audio.
If something outside this list has gone wrong — you were double-charged, charged after cancelling, or could not access what you paid for — that is our problem to fix, not a policy question. Email us and we will sort it out.
Before you dispute a charge
Please email us first. A card dispute takes weeks and freezes the account while the bank decides; a refund from us takes days and is the same money. We do not refuse good-faith requests inside the window.
Price changes and founding members
If we raise the price, existing subscribers get at least 30 days’ notice by email before it applies to a renewal — enough time to cancel first if you would rather not pay it.
Members who joined during an advertised founding-price window keep that rate on every renewal for as long as the subscription stays active and unchanged, even after the published price rises. Cancelling and resubscribing later means rejoining at the price current at that time.
The free lessons
The free lessons cost nothing and stay free whether or not you ever subscribe, and whether or not you stay on the newsletter. Nothing in this policy applies to them.
